Let's get creative and set the mood for the Halloween season! Write a two-sentence scary story that raises goosebumps and brings the shivers.
Welcome to the first-ever terrifying AAPLD Two-Sentence Scary Story Contest. Stories can be about any hair-raising, spine-chilling topic you desire, but they must be two sentences (300 characters or less) in length.
The contest starts on Tuesday, September 17, and is open to amateur writers 14 and older. Submissions are accepted until Sunday, October 20, 2024. Works must be previously unpublished in print or online. Stories that do not follow the 2-sentence rule will be disqualified. Content must be for general audiences. We will not accept entries with explicit or mature content. Limit of 2 entries per person. All submissions must be proofread for spelling and grammatical errors.
