Celebrate America’s 250th birthday with a special reading challenge!
Take advantage of this opportunity to learn more about our people, our history, and our country with the Read, White, and Blue - Voices of America Challenge! Between March 1st and July 31st, read one book from each of the following 13 categories. Why 13? Because of the original 13 colonies and the 13 stripes on the flag! Registration is available in person or by phone, beginning Sunday, March 1, 2026. Pick up your reading log at Adult Services at the Main Library on Harnish (2600 Harnish Dr., Algonquin, IL 60102, 847-458-6060) or at the Eastgate Branch (115 Eastgate Drive, Algonquin, IL 60102, 847-658-4343).

Bonus: Registrants can participate in the Summer Reading Program and the Read, White, and Blue - Voices of America Challenge at the same time! Your reading during June and July will count for both programs and qualify you for both sets of prizes.
Please turn in your log as soon as you complete the program, but no later than July 31, 2026. Prizes will be available for pick up at both libraries beginning on Monday, August 17, 2026.
