Pleasant Valley Conservation Area
Picnic Shelter #2Join us to experience the calming benefits of nature through the creation of Sense Maps at Pleasant Valley Conservation Area.
Time spent in nature has been found to have a measurable, positive impact on stress-reduction and general well-being. Through the creation of Sense Maps, we will practice being mindful in nature and learn how paying attention to the natural happenings around us can force us to slow down, be present, and deepen our connection to the natural world.
Come dressed to sit still for the majority of the program. We advise bringing a water bottle, an extra layer of comfortable clothing, or even an outdoor blanket or lawn chair. Sense Maps supplies will be provided.
