A Fundraiser for Camp I Am Me

Join us, the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District, and Culver’s of LITH for a family-friendly day with fire trucks, stories, crafts, custard, and more, all benefiting Camp I Am Me.

Join us for an afternoon of family fun while supporting an amazing cause!

On Saturday, May 30, 2026, from 11 am to 2 pm, the library is teaming up with the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District and Culver’s of Lake in the Hills (251 N Randall Rd, Lake in the Hills, IL 60156) for a special fundraiser benefiting Camp I Am Me, a camp that supports youth burn survivors.

Enjoy firefighter storytimes, Touch-a-Truck with real fire engines, a photo op with Scoopie, crafts and coloring activities, and more. Kids 12 and under participating in the event will also receive a free scoop of Culver’s custard.

A portion of event sales, along with community donations collected during the event, will help support the camp and the families it serves. Just let the Culver's team know you want a portion of your purchase to go to Camp I Am Me, and they'll do the rest!

Bring the family, meet local first responders, enjoy story time, some frozen custard, and help us make a difference for some truly incredible kids.
