Join us for an in-depth panel discussion with exclusively Native people speaking their voices and sharing their stories.
This program will focus primarily on the trauma and violence against women, girls, and two-spirit people in Native American residential schools and beyond. Panelists will include Rachel Fernandez and Mercedez Reza.
Ms. Fernandez, an advocate and speaker for the MMIWG2S Coalition to Stop Violence against Native Women movement, has worked with victims of domestic and sexual violence, counseled and advocated for victims of residential school abuse and trauma and has provided advocacy and support services to the Menominee Tribe of Wisconsin for over a decade.
The Native American Voices Webinar Series is presented in collaboration with the College of DuPage Native American Studies Committee and partnering Illinois public libraries.
This program will take place on Zoom. Please register with a valid email address to receive the link to join.
