This free service, open to local seniors, offers the opportunity for those ages 62+ to have their tax return prepared by trained volunteers.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers are located nationwide, are trained, and are IRS-certified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code. From Monday, February 6 to Friday, April 7, the Harnish Main Library will serve as a host site for AARP Tax-Aide.
Appointments are available on Mondays and Fridays between 9:00 am and 1:00 pm and are only available in English. Appointments can only be made by contacting Adult Services staff by phone at (847) 458-6060 x143 beginning on Monday, January 23, 2023. No appointments will be made prior to Monday, January 23, 2023.
