Join our local fire departments from Algonquin-Lake in the Hills and Huntley as they read stories, tell us about fire safety, and give us a tour of two fire vehicles!

Join Us for a Firefighter Story Time and Touch-a-Truck Event!

The Algonquin Area Public Library is thrilled to host a special story time and touch-a-truck event featuring our favorite firefighters from the Algonquin-Lake in the Hills Fire Protection District and the Huntley Fire Protection District!

In this exciting first-ever event, firefighters from both districts will:

• Read Fun Stories: Enjoy engaging tales with local heroes.
• Share Fire Safety Tips: Learn about staying safe from fire.
• Show How They Work Together: Discover teamwork in action.
• Tour Fire Vehicles: Get an up-close look at two amazing fire vehicles.
• Demonstrate Gear: See their cool equipment in action.

This event is perfect for children ages 3-7, accompanied by a caregiver. It’s a fantastic chance to interact with friendly first responders while promoting literacy and learning. We’re grateful to both fire departments for their partnership and look forward to seeing you there!
