This free service, open to local seniors, offers the opportunity for those ages 50+ to have their tax return prepared by trained volunteers.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers are located nationwide, are trained, and are IRS-certified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code. From Monday, February 3 to Monday, April 7, 2025,* the Harnish Main Library on Harnish Drive and the branch on Eastgate will serve as host sites for AARP Tax-Aide.
Appointments are available on Mondays at the main library on Harnish and Fridays at the branch on Eastgate between 9:15 am and 1:30 pm and are only available in English. Appointments can only be made by contacting Adult Services staff by phone at (847) 458-6060 x143 or (847) 658-4343 beginning on Thursday, January 30, 2025.
*There will be no appointments on February 21.
