Curious about birding? Interested in exploring beyond your birdfeeders? Join us for a birding adventure at Exner Marsh, guided by Community Education Coordinator, Christine Kustra, from the MCCD.
Explore the unique habitat of the Exner Marsh, one of many McHenry County Conservation District sites open to the public, and learn about the diverse bird species that call it home.
The program will last for 1 hour. Please arrive at the Exner Marsh Conservation Area shelter 10 minutes early so we can begin our walk promptly at 10 a.m. Identification resources and a limited number of binoculars to borrow will be available for use in the program. If you have your own, please bring them. Expect to walk about 1 mile, and bring a pair of rubber boots in case of dampness on the trails. Don’t forget to bring a water bottle to stay hydrated. If it rains, please bring an umbrella or raincoat, as there will be no rescheduled date.
Address: 9000 N Lakewood Rd, Lake in the Hills, IL 60156
