Need volunteer hours this summer? Help protect our local water quality with the Friends of the Fox River.
Did you know that thousands of miles of small streams are not regularly checked by scientists for the impacts of pollution? Be a stream scientist with us and collect biological, chemical and physical data to determine the health of Woods Creek and Crystal Creek, two streams that ultimately drain into the Fox River. The data you collect will be part of a publicly accessible interactive map. We will also remove litter and discuss how litter impacts wildlife. Fulfill your service hours while making a contribution to science and environmental protection in your community! Dress to go in the creek. Boots will be provided.
