This free service, open to local seniors, offers the opportunity for those ages 50+ to have their tax return prepared by trained volunteers.
AARP Foundation Tax-Aide volunteers are located nationwide, are trained, and are IRS-certified every year to make sure they know about and understand the latest changes and additions to the tax code. From Monday, February 5 to Monday, April 8, 2024*, the Harnish Main Library will serve as a host site for AARP Tax-Aide.
Appointments are available on Mondays and Fridays between 9:15 am and 1 pm and are only available in English. Appointments can only be made by contacting Adult Services staff by phone at (847) 458-6060 x143 beginning on Thursday, February 1, 2024. No appointments will be made before Thursday, February 1, 2024.
*There will be no appointments on February 23 or March 18, 2024.
