Learn how to identify "rainbow" clues in genealogy and some of the difficulties facing LGBTQ and adoptive families when using current genealogy software.
Join us for a presentation by Stewart Traiman, professional genealogist. Traiman offers a variety of genealogical presentations about LGBTQ genealogy, how to start your genealogy research, and software that can be utilized to organize and manage your research.
"LGBTQ Genealogy" is made up of two parts. In the first, Traiman will explain clues found in genealogical records that can indicate whether an ancestor may have been part of the LGBTQ community. In the second, he will discuss the ways in which current genealogical software can be challenging for LGBTQ and adoptive families to navigate and how these systems can be improved upon.
