As we wrap up our Midterm Elections, Dr. David Faris of Roosevelt University breaks down the election results and hosts a lively discussion looking into the term ahead.
David Faris is an Associate Professor of Political Science at Roosevelt University and the author of three books, including Dissent and Revolution in a Digital Age: Social Media, Blogging and Activism in Egypt. His academic work has appeared in Middle East Policy and the International Journal of Middle East Studies, and he is a regular contributor to Slate and Newsweek. His work has appeared in The Washington Post, Washington Monthly, The New Republic, The Week, and more.
The Civic Awareness Series is presented in partnership with the League of Women Voters of the Palatine, Barrington, and Schaumburg Areas; Algonquin Area Public Library District; Arlington Heights Memorial Library; Barrington Area Library; Fox River Valley Public Library District; Lincolnwood Public Library District; Morton Grove Public Library; and Roselle Public Library District. The League of Women Voters is a nonpartisan organization dedicated to civic education, engagement, and encouraging informed participation in elections.
