Join us for a guided discussion on current global issues. The Great Decisions program explores eight key foreign policy challenges facing Americans each year.
Great Decisions is a program of the Foreign Policy Association, an organization that has promoted informed, nonpartisan discussion of U.S. foreign policy for more than 100 years. The program gives citizens the opportunity to better understand some of the most pressing global issues facing the United States today.
This discussion group meets once a month, from April through November 2026. Each month, participants read a chapter from the Great Decisions Briefing Book, watch a short introductory video, and take part in a guided group discussion.
The library has a copy of the Great Decisions Briefing Book available for checkout, as well as another copy at the Adult Services Desk for review while you are in the building.
Each year, the Foreign Policy Association selects and briefs eight timely international topics. Here are this year’s issues:
